Targeted Cattle Grazing of Field Scabious
In 2008, NWIPC sponsored a research trial south of Vanderhoof, BC where 11 heifers where trained to eat field scabious.
In the beginning the cows would avoiding eating field scabious and after just 10 days of training they were including it in their regular diet in pasture!
