Communities Pulling Together

Communities Pulling Together Communities Pulling Together events (formerly Community Weed Pulls) are a fun and educational way for non-profit community groups to raise some funds. A pull event is designed to be approximately three hours long and it includes a weed identification talk, weed pulling (or digging), snack breaks and prizes! Go To: http://www.invasiveplantcouncilbc.ca/news-and-events/231-sign-up-for-communities-pulling-together-events and apply

To qualify for the $250 honorarium you will need a minimum of 10 adult-sized (adults and youth grades 5 and up) volunteers participating in the pulling event. Events are held in areas where hand-pulling and digging are the best option for control of an invasive plant infestation.

To participate in a weed pull event, please complete the Application Form (found under Downloads, Forms) and return it to a NWIPC program coordinator.
